About the Book Nook

I love books! That's why I became a Librarian.  I have so many amazing books to read right at my finger tips.  But i'm getting ahead of myself, let me back up and introduce myself.  My name is Lacey and I am a librarian for the Lake County Public Library System in Lake County, Indiana.  I primarily work at the Hobart Branch as the Asst. Manager.  My hobbies are reading, cooking, reading, music, reading, are you starting to see a theme here.  I read a lot.  Probably more than I should because I have been known to neglect things like dishes and laundry for the sake of finishing a really good book.  I got the spark to do a blog after reading Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher.  I couldn't stop thinking about this book and wanted to share it with everyone I talked too.  And while we do have a branch blog, www.hobartlibrary.blogspot.com, I wanted to start something new.  That's how the Book Nook was born.  I wanted a place for people to come to, to find really good books to read.  In the past two years I have done well over 100 posts and have had some wonderful people submit book reviews as well.  I look forward to doing many more.  I hope you enjoy the Book Nook.
